About Us:

The Sale Christadelphians meet at the Christadelphian Hall, 206 Marsland Rd, Sale, England. The Ecclesia consists of approximately 80 members from various walks of life. We are bound together by our common belief in the Gospel as preached by Jesus Christ and the Apostles, and by baptism into Jesus name. Our aim is to "Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness", looking for the return of Jesus to the earth to set up the kingdom of God.

The authority for our faith and beliefs comes entirely from the inspired word of God (the Old and New testaments of the Bible).

" All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work." (1 Tim 3 v 16 - NKJV)

We meet together regularly, most importantly to remember our absent Lord, by the sharing of bread and wine, as He commanded us to do.

"For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread; and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, 'Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.' In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me." For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death till He comes."

(1 Cor 11 v 23-26 - NKJV)

We are not an ecumenical movement because

"There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all." (Ephesians 4 v 4-6 - NKJV)

and therefore we only break bread and drink wine with other Christadelphians, because we share with them a common faith and belief of the things of God.

Our vision for the future is the return of Jesus to the earth and the establishment of the Kingdom of God, centered in Israel, thus we pray "...thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is done in heaven..." Because we wait for the kingdom of God we take no part in the politics of this world, rather leaving those matters to the providence and power of God to control

"...the Most High God rules in the kingdom of men , and appoints over it whomever He chooses." (Daniel 5 v 21 - NKJV)

We believe that Jesus will return to the earth very soon, and are convinced by the signs prophesied in the bible (especially the return of the Jews to the land of Israel) that there is little time left before the establishment of the Kingdom of God on earth.

 Notes:

1. Ecclesia: The word "Ecclesia" is lifted from the New Testament Greek. It's basic meaning is "that which is called out" and is translated into English as "church". Over the years the word "church" has come to refer more to a building than a people. Since the building in which we meet has no relevance to our salvation:

"...However, the Most High does not dwell in temples made with hands, as the prophet says: Heaven is My throne, And earth is My footstool. What house will you build for Me? says the Lord, Or what is the place of My rest? Has My hand not made all these things?'
(Acts 7 v 48 - 50)

...we call ourselves an Ecclesia, a people called out to serve God.

"...you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ." (1 Peter 2 v 5 - NKJV)
